What You Walk Away With

Deep enough to find the truth. Focused enough to create movement.

Every Enliven Your Team Assessment ends with three things in hand — plain, practical, easy to repeat to your board:

Diagnosis

A clear understanding of the key underlying issue, why it has persisted, and the leverage point most likely to unlock momentum toward your team's shared vision.

Possibility

A tangible, achievable picture of the organization's next phase — aligned with the collective vision that emerged from your team.

Roadmap

A phased approach to creating a generative culture, smooth operations, and collective vitality — with a clear starting point for your next chapter.

Generative culture. Smooth operations. Collective vitality.

When the Mission Is Strong, But the System Is Strained

You don't need to push harder. You need to see clearly — and create the conditions for flourishing.

Even as you make progress, the organization can feel like it's operating from strain. Your team cares deeply. And still:

  • —Your mind keeps running after the workday ends — replaying the message you didn't send, the decision still sitting in your inbox, the conversation you keep rescheduling because you're not sure how it will go.
  • —You're the only one who can do the strategic, forward-facing work — and it's been weeks since you had an uninterrupted stretch of time to actually do it.
  • —A decision has been sitting unmade for a month because two or three people quietly think it's theirs to make, and no one wants to be the one who finally calls it.
  • —You've watched a strong team member's energy drain out over the last couple of quarters, and you're not entirely sure they'll still be here by year's end.
  • —The urgent keeps crowding out the important — the strategy, the culture work, the thing you started this organization to do — and some days you can't remember the last time you felt the spark of it.

You can feel that this way of working is leading toward burnout — for you and your team. You're ready for a clear path forward.

The Enliven Your Team Assessment creates space to zoom out, see the patterns beneath the problems, and focus your energy where it can make the greatest difference. When the right leverage point becomes clear, systems begin to reorganize: communication improves, efficiency happens naturally, and creative momentum returns.

The Shift

A team working together as a cohesive whole — and enjoying doing it.

The assessment identifies the shifts that move your organization toward:

01

Clear direction

Your direction is clear

Your collective priorities, roles, and next phase come into focus — so people know what matters, what they're responsible for, and how to work together toward a shared goal.

02

Generative relationships

You trust your team

Clear values and shared agreements create the conditions for people to communicate openly, contribute authentically, and navigate differences with greater trust.

03

Genius zone

You're in the flow

With less friction and fewer recurring fires, leaders regain the steadiness and perspective to tend to the bigger picture — and spend more time in what they're uniquely equipped to offer.

04

Renewed possibility

You believe

With clarity about what to carry forward — and what to leave behind — your team enters its next era lighter, with vision, strategy, and agreements in sync. Success becomes inevitable.

The Process

How we get there

The assessment is tailored to your organization.

01

Align with leadership

We begin with two sessions — visioning and strategy — to clarify why your organization exists, where it is in its growth trajectory, and which roadblocks are consuming the most energy.

02

Listen across the organization

Through confidential one-to-one conversations, a concise questionnaire for each teammate, and a facilitated team session, we surface patterns across perspectives and draw out the team's collective vision.

03

Illuminate the path forward

We synthesize what we learn into your Diagnosis, Possibility, and Roadmap — the three deliverables described above.

For Your Team

  • ·One confidential one-on-one conversation (30 minutes)
  • ·One facilitated team session (2 hours)
  • ·One short survey (about 20 minutes)

For You, the Team Lead

  • ·Everything above, plus:
  • ·Two 1-hour design sessions (visioning + strategy)
  • ·One 30-minute Roadmap session to close it out

From insight to transformation. The assessment is complete in itself — you leave with meaningful clarity and a practical path forward, whether you implement the roadmap internally or continue working with us. For organizations ready for deeper support, it can become the foundation for an ongoing engagement.

In Their Words

Leaders on the other side of the shift

"Facing the brink of closure due to funding challenges after seven years serving an incredible mission, I was engulfed in the relentless cycle of hustling and stress. Carley's leadership coaching, team-building guidance, and the Enliven Approach shifted my focus from the old ways of striving to a new paradigm. Our organization's trajectory underwent a complete transformation without the usual hustle — securing full funding for the upcoming year, granting well-deserved raises, and expanding our staff."

David StevensonCEO, Moose Hide Campaign

"Carley brings such a uniquely human approach to the workplace. Her work created room for us to exercise agency throughout the process, which led to more meaningful, longstanding change. As a senior leader tasked with transitioning a legacy organization, working with Carley was genuinely transformative."

Richard PietersCEO, TripleBar Bio

"In just a few sessions with Carley, I was able to access a depth of inner guidance that was truly remarkable. Who This Is For

For leaders who care deeply — and are ready for the organization to work differently.

  • ·You lead a small or midsize mission-driven organization.
  • ·You and your team are stretched thin, caught in recurring fires.
  • ·Your core team is capable and committed, but strain, ambiguity, or recurring friction is limiting its potential.
  • ·Whether your team is made up of staff, contractors, or both, what matters is that you work together as an interdependent team, able to show up for one facilitated session together.
  • ·You're ready to receive real support — not just more advice — and a clear path back to your own aliveness.
  • ·You want a rigorous thought partner who can connect systems strategy with meaningful human transformation.

Your organization is shaped by the state from which you lead.

An enlivened leader isn't steady because everything goes according to plan. They're resourced from within — anchored in a connection to the intelligence of life, and practiced in the states that allow that connection to hold — able to stay clear, creative, and responsive under uncertainty.

Rather than gripping for control or relying on outside validation, they meet what emerges, pivot without losing their center, and act with a confidence that comes from depth. They become an anchor for the team — not through effort, but because when their own state becomes the priority, everything else gets easier.

That's why this assessment looks beyond culture and operations to the state from which you, as the leader, are creating. Using accessible, evidence-informed techniques from neuroscience that restore capacity and shift limiting patterns, you release the strain of carrying everything — and reconnect with the vitality, discernment, and clarity to lead at your highest level.

Case Study

From a high-stakes leadership transition to renewed organizational momentum

A longstanding, community-rooted nonprofit entered a generational transition as its co-founders stepped away from day-to-day leadership. The organization had an extraordinary legacy — and was carrying years of accumulated strain. Relationships had become difficult, psychological safety was low, the board was minimally engaged, and operational systems hadn't evolved with the organization.

The Enliven Approach

We began by listening across the organization to understand its history, surface the patterns beneath the immediate problems, and identify the leverage points that could create meaningful movement. What followed was a multi-year organizational transformation:

  • Coaching both outgoing and incoming executive leadership through the transition
  • Facilitating honest conversations, team alignment, and shared agreements
  • Clarifying roles, responsibilities, priorities, and decision-making
  • Establishing meeting rhythms, accountability structures, and operational systems
  • Reactivating the board and strengthening its partnership with staff
  • Supporting a broader reset around place, funding, and a reinvigorated expression of the mission

The Transformation

Much of the core team remained through the transition, while the organization became almost unrecognizable in how it operated and related.

  • New leadership stepped forward with greater authority, clarity, and support
  • The team developed a more open, collaborative, forward-facing culture
  • The board moved from limited engagement to active participation in the organization's future
  • Clearer structures reduced confusion and helped responsibility move more effectively
  • The organization entered a new chapter with renewed energy, expanded funding, and greater capacity to serve its mission

The organization didn't simply replace its leaders. It created a new way of leading, working, and moving forward together — for greater impact and wellbeing.

Investment

One focused engagement. A new way forward.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What size organization is this designed for?+
The Enliven Your Team Assessment is designed primarily for small and midsize mission-driven organizations — often a great fit for teams of approximately 2–50 staff, though fit depends more on your goals and the team being assessed than on total headcount.
How many people are included in the standard assessment?+
The standard investment includes one intact leadership or core team of up to 10 participants — confidential team input, facilitated sessions, strategic synthesis, and a clear path forward. If you want to engage more than 10 people, assess multiple teams, or gather organization-wide input, we can develop a custom scope.
What if our organization has more than 50 people?+
Larger organizations are welcome. The standard assessment may still be appropriate if we're focusing on one leadership or core team. If the work needs to include multiple departments or a broader cross-section, contact us before purchasing so we can recommend the right scope.
How long does the assessment take?+
Most assessments are completed over approximately four to eight weeks, depending on team availability and the number of participants. We'll confirm the timeline during your initial leadership sessions.
What will my team need to do, and how much time will it take?+
Every team member completes a short survey (about 20 minutes), a confidential one-on-one conversation (30 minutes), and a facilitated team session (2 hours). The team lead also takes part in two 1-hour design sessions (visioning + strategy) and a culminating 30-minute Roadmap session.
Are individual conversations confidential?+
Yes. We synthesize themes and patterns across the team without attributing sensitive comments to individuals. At the outset, we establish clear agreements about confidentiality, transparency, and how findings will be shared.
What will we have at the end?+
A diagnosis of the underlying issue and key leverage point, a tangible picture of the organization's next phase, and a prioritized roadmap for moving forward.
Is the assessment valuable if we don't continue working together?+
Absolutely. The assessment is a complete engagement in itself — you'll leave with meaningful clarity and a practical roadmap your organization can implement independently. If you choose to continue, it can also serve as the foundation for deeper work together.
Is this therapy, mediation, or an HR investigation?+
No. This is an organizational assessment and transformation process. It can surface relational patterns and strengthen communication, but it isn't a substitute for therapy, formal mediation, legal guidance, or an independent investigation of workplace misconduct. If your organization is navigating an acute crisis or serious unresolved conflict, please contact us before purchasing so we can determine whether this is the right starting point.
What frameworks and methodologies inform your approach?+
We don't impose a single, off-the-shelf leadership system. Our approach draws on more than 30 years of combined experience in organizational development, leadership, facilitation, systems thinking, and embodied transformation — integrating original frameworks with established tools, including certifications in The Five Behaviors® and Everything DiSC®. We select and adapt what best serves your organization.
Is the work virtual or in person?+
The standard assessment is delivered virtually, though in-person is possible upon request. In-person facilitation, retreats, and offsites may be available as part of a customized engagement.
What happens after I purchase?+
You'll receive an intake form and a link to schedule your leadership deep dive. From there, we'll confirm participants, timing, and the assessment process for your organization.
